Workshop Learning Outcomes

  • Identify their personal communication blocks and apply the conversational techniques to improve their conversational skills.
  • Display confidence in connecting and making small talk with strangers in the first five minutes.
  • List the difficulties that they will encounter in any communication situation and use the dialogue model to effectively manage them.
  • Be able to recognize and deal with difficult behaviours in other people.
  • Acquire skills for assertiveness at the workplace to communicate professionally with bosses, colleagues, subordinates and clients.

  • Discover your personality traits and communication styles using Lumina Spark (U.K)
  • Understanding and dealing with various personality traits
  • Understanding and dealing with various conflict management styles
  • Use 4A’s Listening Skill to neutralise aggressiveness
  • Assertive Questioning Technique
  • Handling Objections or any unreasonable demand in an assertive manner

This workshop is specially designed for people looking to take more control of their working and/or personal life; become more confident and assertive to achieve their desired outcome, when communicating with others.

Methodologies

Facilitator’s guidance and presentation; role-play; group discussion; case study and self-reflection; coupled with voice recording so that learners keep their own record for future evaluation. (Note: to increase conduciveness during role-play, a more spacious classroom is preferred)
